Message	i got pulled over for my mufflers AGAIN. cop was sitting at a light, when i approached right next to him and sat there for the green. as soon as it turns green, he flicks on the lights and pull me over. he basically told me that it is illegal to have an 'altered' muffler in nyc. i told him it was legal in all 50 states. he insisted that aftermarket mufflers in nyc was illegal. but i got lucky because he got called for backup and he just threw me back my stuff, made a u-turn and followed some other cop cars headed that way. damn, this is the second time i got pulled for the damn hipers. my question: are the hks hipers legal in nyc? isn't it 50 state legal? and if so, is there any documentation that i can carry around for the next time this crap happens? would the cops even care if i showed them the papers? thanks a lot mike zxredline@yahoo.com 1990 PearlGold Stage3 NA
